Minamoto no Koretsune (源是恒)

MINAMOTO no Koretsune (year of birth unknown - September 5, 905) was shisei kozoku (member of the Imperial Family conferred with a family name) in the early Heian period. He was the eighth son of Emperor Koko but his mother was unknown. He held the rank of Jushiinojo (Junior Fourth Rank, Upper Grade) and the title of Mino no gon no kami (provisional governor of Mino Province). He adopted 源衆望 who was Saga-Genji (Minamoto clan).

In March 870, he was conferred with a family name of Genji Asomi (Minamoto) and demoted from nobility to subject. After that, he became a priest and called himself Kusho. After that, he returned to secular life and was conferred with a family name of Minamoto no Asomi again in December 896. He died on September 5, 905.
